As I mentioned in an earlier article, the Commonwealth Games are approaching fast. I would like to encourage you to pray for outreach during the Games in late July/early August.
Here are some photos from around the main venue, Alexander Stadium to whet your appetite.
Please pray for local churches including Church Central, Perry Beeches Baptist, Christchurch Perry Barr and Elim Life Church Birmingham which are close to the main venue at Alexander Stadium for Gospel opportunities.
Pray also for Bearwood Chapel, Holy Trinity West Brom and West Smethwick Congregational Church, all close to the Aqua centre in Sandwell.
Pray for teams from BCM, GLO, YWAM, OM and others who will be involved in outreach during the Games
Pray for lots of Gospel conversations as mission teams engage with visitors to the Games
Pray for opportunities via Door to Door to engage with local communities too.
Pray that participation in Games outreach may raise the possibility of urban church planting in Birmingham for some of those coming and helping.
