I’ve tried to include some form of regular devotional piece on Faithroots over the past few years. I hope this is useful for those looking for something to assist with their daily meditation. This has include #DailyDose audio podcasts and through last year, an article most days taking us into a little more detail in Mark’s Gospel. The aim was to align with the teaching programme our church was covering on a Sunday.
In the first part of 2023, our church are looking at a few short, mini-series looking at Old Testament books. So, in order to support that and hopefully provide something useful for a slightly wider audience, my plan is to provide some OT foundational stuff by walking through the book of Genesis. The Torah, or first five books of the Bible are crucial to our understanding of both the Wisdom Literature and the prophetic books.
