One of the key aims of Faithroot.com is to encourage and support church planting. I believe that a lot more of our church planting should be what we might refer to as pioneering. Rather than seeing a large church hive off 40 or 50 people with a staff team and budget, I believe we should be encouraging people in small groups of 2-4 moving into key areas and opening up their homes to share the good news of Jesus with others. As friends and neighbours trust in Jesus, a church is formed. It may be that such a church will outgrow the home and move into a formal building. Alternatively, I would hope that many would simply replicate with new small groups of young believers gathering in homes or round a table at the pub or coffee shop.
One of the resources I’ve been developing here to help equip and support such pioneer church plants is called “Church in a box.” Follow the link and you’ll find plenty of resources to help you get started.
I’d love to hear feedback from anyone who is using these resources so that I can pray for you. Also if you would welcome further support through coaching, mentoring and training, please get in touch.
