I hadn’t realised until reading an obituary that whilst Eddie Stobart was the founder of the business empire bearing his name, it was in fact his son who was the driven business entrepreneur who built up the haulage company and turned it into a household name.
Eddie Stobart clearly was passionate, there were things that were important to him in life, just not the same things as his son who sadly died in his mid-fifties. This quote is telling.
Stobart had discovered the most important thing in life and that’s where his energy went. Cit enabled him to find rest and peace in all other things.
