One of the arguments made by prominent Christian Nationalists is that they are, by building alliances with Tommy Robinson and others regarded as on the Far Right, is that they are seeking to reach a neglected people (white working class) with the Gospel. They argue that they are doing something noone else is interested in.
I disagree. I believe that there are Christians with a genuine concern to reach urban Britain including both white working class estates and deprived inner city multi cultural contexts. In fact, those of us who have a long term concern to reach the unreached are as likely to be the most vocal of opponents to Christian Nationalism.
A few years back I sought to put together a teaching/training guide on reaching our urban contexts. If you are looking for an alternative to both Christian Nationalism and middle class paternalism, why not have a look at “Hope for the City” and maybe even work through it with you church leadership or church planting core team.
