I’m continuing to look for potential church planters to reach the urban West Midlands. We often think of church planting as involving a large church sending a group of 30 or more established Christians out to form a new church with its structures already in place. Whilst this may be effective in some quarters, we are not going to reach our inner city and council estate contexts this way. Not only that but traditionally, church planting looked different with a greater emphasis on one or two pioneers moving into an area and starting t build bridges into their community to share the Gospel.
In other words, the type of people we are looking for are more missionaries than pastors. We are looking for people who would be willing to move into a neighbourhood where they might be the only Christians and start to share the good news with them. You will have to raise your own support just as missionaries would.
At the same time, we would want to help connect you with existing churches for support and fellowship. We would also be really keen to offer training, mentoring and coaching.

- Arrange to come and visit, to spend a bit of time here, to see the situation for yourself and hear what God is saying to you.
