The tagline of this website is “What we believe affects how we live.”. A few years ago, a popular Gospel method was based on the idea that there are two ways to live. If both points are true then we might say that there is also two ways to believe.
In fact, through history we have seen two story lines competing. The one is about the good, sovereign and personal God who is love and who creates a good world. When his creatures rebel, he acts on compassion to save them. Their future is physical resurrection in a renewed creation.
The competing story whether seen in ancient near eastern religion or modern atheism pictures an impersonal force, a world that arises out of conflict by accident and humans that are unlike ved slaves to malign forces.
Where we see ethical conflict today, it is worth noting that it arises out of the conflict between those stories . However most people don’t know the stories behind how they live. A major aspect of our apologetics is telling those stories.
